Welcome to Me Too Therapy
If you have experienced sexual violence, you can find help and understanding here.
You may feel alone, but you are in good company: according to the CDC, over half of women and almost 1 in 3 men have experienced sexual violence involving physical contact during their lifetimes.
We are many, and the difficulties we are facing are significant. Yet, places devoted to our healing are scarce.
Me Too Therapy is about trying to fill the gap , giving as much information and encouragements as possible to help along your healing journey. Wherever you are right now.
Hi, I’m Laura. Like you, I am many things: a European citizen, a wife, a mother, a banker, a holder of a master’s degree in clinical psychology and the happy owner of two cats.
I am also a survivor a child sexual abuse, and have a few decades of recovery behind me. Looking back, I found it far too difficult to find people like me, and information about what to do, and what to know.
So that’s what I am trying to provide here at Me Too Therapy: my take about what to do, and what to know. Also, lots of moaning about how hard it is – not sure it is healthy, but definitely more than denial and shame (besides, who cares).
